T Pots Pottery is offering pottery summer camps. The emphasis will be in pottery
each day. Throughout the week, campers will complete many fun art projects that
relate to the specific theme using different art forms.
Class meets Monday through Friday 9 am – Noon. Snacks will be served each day. All
camps are $160 for the full week or $40 day (space allowing).
· July 5 - 8 “Keeping Tahoe Green”
· July 18 - 22 “Peace, love & Pottery”
· August 1 - 5 “Animal Safari”
· August 15 - 19 “Gone Bananas”
Keeping Tahoe Green July 5-8 ($120 Tuesday – Friday only) We'll be using the
potter’s wheel, handbuilding and coil clay techniques along with recycled materials
to create really cool projects around a Tahoe Theme. Examples: wind chimes using
recycled glass with smooth edges, painting with plastic bags and stencils using newspaper.
Who knows, we may find some tree bark to add texture to our clay creations.
Peace, Love and Pottery July 18-22 60's theme- We'll be making cool projects
using the potter’s wheel, handbuilding and coils, peace signs, groovy colors and
tie die techniques will be explored this week.
Animal Safari August 1 – 5 Lions, Tigers and Bears- Oh My! Campers will use handbuilding
and wheel throwing to make amazing animal creations. including a super fun clay mask,
painting colors to bring our animals to life, fused glass critters and more!
Gone Bananas August 15 - 19 Food in all its forms will inspire projects for food
containers and food sculpture. Campers will use slabs, modeling techniques, and wheel
throwing to make delicious projects decorated with scrumptious colors. We’ll also
create a special food related piece using colorful, kids safe fused glass.
*Clay takes time to dry, projects will be ready for pick up one week after camp ends.
